This miniature consisted of the main design on the primary support and a secondary support that displayed a border. these pieces had been torn into multiple parts and subsequently stapled back together.

The key aim of this treatment was to restore the structural integrity of both the primary and secondary supports by lining and reattaching both as well as to restore the aesthetic integrity by infilling areas of loss with sympathetically toned paper.
