“Untitled” by Nabi Honarmal (20thC)

This work had been backed onto an acidic piece of wood pulp paper with PVA glue and then ripped into multiple pieces. It had been reassembled using pressure sensitive tape and had acquired a heavy layer of surface particulates.

The key aims of this treatment were to reduce the surface dirt, remove the backing (which revealed a work on the verso) remove the tape and adhesive residues and tor restore structural integrity through reassembling the pieces.
