Custom Book Mount for Exhibition Display

This mount was created for a book in order to hold it for an extended period of time in its most natural and comfortable position, reducing the stresses on the binding that may be present if not held appropriately. The mount was constructed using archival museum board and wheat starch paste, materials that will not off-gass and cause damage to the item that they are supporting.

The construction includes a hidden recess that allows for an environmental monitor to be placed inside the mount to constantly monitor the temperature and relative humidity within the display case.
